Having been diagnosed with autism myself, I have experienced first hand how debilitating and frustrating it can be to not understand and be understood by others and to not be able to plan effectively for one’s own future. As I personally know Paula Zeestraten-Bartholomeus, the creator of ReAttach and the founder of the ReAttach Academy, I was lucky enough that she offered to help me, by treating me with Reattach shortly after she had invented it.
Accepting her help changed everything for me: Only minutes after having received my first session from her, I could already observe the first small positive change in me: In the video she made of me immediately after my first session, I could see that there was a bit more expression on my face compared to what was there only a moment before. In that instant it clicked; if this was the effect after only minutes, imagine what the effect would be over weeks, let alone years!
During the next few months I received several more sessions from her and my developments became more profound; communication with others became natural and much more enjoyable for everyone involved and having overview in my activities and planning accordingly became as normal as breathing. Now, well over a decade after Paula has helped me with the aid of Reattach, my communication skills are such that people find it hard to believe that I was ever diagnosed with autism at al. Furthermore, in my other job, as a senior researcher at a leading global company, I have become the go-to person for my boss when complex issues arise that need to be handled with inter-personal care and be resolved under significant time pressure.
As is hopefully clear by now, ReAttach has changed my life for the better tremendously. It has enabled me to take control of my own destiny, and I am extremely grateful for it.
So much so, that a few years ago I have decided to become a ReAttach coach myself and start helping others with it. Furthermore, I now travel around the world to spread the word about this promising method and to demonstrate its possibilities, by using it to help those who will benefit most from it.
